Use Uxome through one public API, whether the source is copied into a product or consumed as a managed package.

Workspace Setup

Install the monorepo dependencies

pnpm install

Validate all package contracts

pnpm typecheck

Run the Design System website

pnpm --filter @uxome/design-system dev

Component Imports

Import from the package boundary. Product code never imports internal behavior primitives or recreates physical styling.

Distribution Model

Uxome Registry delivery and @uxome/ui package delivery are generated from the same components, manifests, tokens, tests, and versions.

  • Source-owned delivery copies editable Uxome components into a product.
  • Managed delivery centralizes upgrades through the package boundary.
  • Both channels preserve identical component APIs and physical tokens.
  • Product pages consume components; they do not maintain a parallel visual layer.
